I started off the project by studying how we use and interact with tableware. I ended up creating a short film with my right hand painted red and my left painted blue where I carried out tasks such as making a cup of tea. I then proceeded to use the marks to help me design the best cup to hold in the hand.

Hug Mug has the same capacity as a regular mug, made possible by the slightly taller design. The mug can be held snugly in the hand, due to the indents and the double wall prevented the user being burnt. The mug sat on a table nicely without wobbling, due to the foot ring, and could be easily cleaned, as the indentations are not on the internal wall. I see the Hug Mug being sold individually as a personal mug.
